Neatly’s Brown Drake Comparadrake pattern here is a favorite of many for this important hatch. We would have to say that it is probably our favorite in the bin come late May around here. This fly has been in the line-up here for so long that we can’t remember who Neally is! If you are out there, congrats on coming up with a killer fly.
A combination of a paradrake and a comparadun with some rubber legs thrown in. Great high floating, gaudy emerger/adult pattern. One of the best flies we have ever used on the Drakes and not just Brown Drakes for that matter. Works well as a Green Drake also.
This fly works great as a Dun or spinner but also fishes year-round as an attractor fly. Also a great smallmouth fly as we do get good Drake hatches on many of our warm water streams as well. Sold here in a size 10.
