Kelly Galloup’s Butt Monkey, or sometimes just called the Monkey, was one of the original “Modern Streamers” that was featured in his ground-breaking book, “Modern Streamers for Trophy Trout”.
Kelly always brings us great flies…some with very strange names. This one tops them all…..but it works! The original Butt Monkey.
A great “sculpiny” type fly that is killer on trout everywhere but we also use it for largemouth and smallmouth bass around here as well.
Galloup’s Butt Monkey sold here in the deadly black color and hook size 2. This fly is tied on a single hook and measures approximately 3″.
