The Big Eyed Panfish Bug is just…..well……fun. Just a fun, and versatile fly that just happens to slay panfish, bluegill and even smallmouth bass at times.
A simple short marabou tail and dubbed and ribbed body is adorned with foam “Boobie” style eyes up front. Really a cool looking bug that just flat out gets their attention. They can’t seem to resist!
Fish it in the surface! Fish it below with split-shot or better yet a sinking leader or both. The action when fished below is pretty amazing. A seriously versatile bug that has become a great seller for us here in the shop.
Big Eyed Panfish Bug here tied on a size 10 hook. Black is the color with a black marabou tail, black body and green eyes with black pupil. This fly measures approximately 1″ long.
