Tim Borski’s Bonefish Slider is one of the most popular and productive bonefish flies of all-time. Also a great choice for Redfish as well.
We learned of this fly many years ago from Flip Pallot and Sandy Moret. It was a favorite of theirs down in the Florida Keys and we have since used it throughout the Bahamas, Venezuela and Turks and Caicos. A favorite of many Redfish anglers as well from the Everglades to the Carolinas. This fly flat out catches fish.
Tied with a barred craft fur and flash tail, a bit of grizzly hackle and a spun deer hair head and collar that surround lead eyes. The lead eyes are of course on top so that it rides hook up, as all bonefish flies should. Also features a simple single mono weed guard. This fly belongs in the box of any serious bonefish angler.
