The Cortland IGFA Tippet Material is designed to have the perfect blend of stiffness and diameter in relation to it’s break strength. This is the tippet material of choice of many guides, as well as our dear friend and mentor Mr. Flip Pallot.
This material is formulated to fall within the IGFA specs in each class size while maintaining all the necessary performance characteristics.
Cortland IGFA comes on 30 yard standard sized tippet spools.
4lb = .007″
6lb = .009″
8lb = .011″
12lb = .012″
16lb = .014″
20lb = .015″
* IGFA states that you must have at least 15″ of “class tippet” in order to be “legal”.
