The Echo OHS Fly Rods are single hand rods for the new world of single hand spey. The ultimate in versatility. The missing link between one hand rods and spey rods. Combined with a short Skagit head, these rods allow you to add a double haul to your spey cast. High modulus graphite makes the rod more efficient while casting and is light in the hand. The rod comes with a traditional fighting butt and a 2 ½” spey rear grip in case you want to give your casting hand a rest. Longer lengths provide additional leverage when fish are hiding in the next zip code.
A TRUE “switch rod.” A rod that can effectively be used to both add a double-haul to a single-hand spey cast to launch a skagit head in tight quarters, and to overhead cast. By using high modulus graphite, Echo was able to achieve an extremely light weight rod while also not losing its ability to load deep in to the bottom sections when making water-loaded spey casts. Whether spey casting a short Skagit with a sink tip, skating bombers on a floater, or making effective long distance mends with your favorite nymph setup, the OHS rod is dialed.
