From Alex Lafkas comes the Modern Deceiver. This fly takes the original Lefty’s Deceiver and adds some bling….and then some.
Two big and strong hooks with two articulated shanks between. Bucktail, flash, more bucktail, more flash…and ends with a saddle hackle tail and some more flash. This is the lightweight version that features a small silver conehead at the front. This version has also added a red articulation bead between the main hook and the 1st shank. Grey and White makes this the “shad” version of this killer articulated streamer.
This fly is approximately 7 1/2″ long and features 2/0 hooks. Talk about versatile….we have folks that buy this fly for Trout, Smallmouth, Largemouth and general saltwater.
***Please note that the first articulation is MONO on these flies and they MAY NOT be well suited for toothy fish like Pike or Musky. Just a heads-up.
