Tim Holschlag’s Blockhead Popper from the folks at Rainys are super buoyant and their unique shape are designed to maximize the “pop” in the water. The unique square shape on these heads are one of our favorite platforms for tying bass poppers. This heads ability to make the perfect pop nearly every time is one of the reasons this style head is so popular and its pre-cut shape make it quick and easy to tie up a great fishing fly.
The medium size is great all around size for most river Smallmouth situations. It pairs perfectly with the Gamakatsu B10s #2 hook. This is our preferred hook when tying with this size head.
