Waker Maker – Jerry’s

Description

The Waker Maker fly comes to us from Jerry French. It was designed in the tradition of a “Wog” and is made to create a wake on the surface to get the attention of Salmon and Steelhead. Certainly not a top producing method but under the right conditions, this is a great fly to help you get it done. 

A unique design tied with closed cell foam and synthetic dubbing so that it won’t absorb water and sink.  It’s actually pretty hard to sink this fly! With the design of the foam front, it really throws a nice V-wake and the rubber legs behind add some extra attraction. This fly does well in Alaska for a variety of species but it has become our best option and choice for bringing Erie steelhead to the surface.

Jerry’s Waker Maker is tied on an Aqua Flies shank and has a #4 stinger hook attached with Trailer Hook Wire. Color is Black/Blue. This fly measures just shy of 3″ long.
