A basic Blue Winged Olive Thorax dry fly here that is a staple pattern throughout the country. One of our top selling BWO patterns of all-time here. We also use this particular fly to imitate the tiny Pseudocloens that we get in the late Summer and Fall.
Vince Marinaro made the Thorax style dry popular back in the day and they are still a top choice of many dry fly purists. They don’t ride as high as a Catskill tie but not as low in the water as a parachute. We have sold these flies for way over 20 years now and ain’t gonna change now.
