Brown Drake Paradrake here that has been a top producer in the shop and on the water. Paradrake style parachute pattern as popularized in the early seventies by Doug Swisher and Carl Richards.
Pretty sure that some fancy tyer put their name on this fly as a signature pattern but it’s right out of the book Selective Trout so we’ll give credit to where it’s due. Thanks Doug and Carl.
The extended deer hair body makes for a great profile and also floats well. One of our best sellers for the June hatch.
This Brown Drake fly has been in our bins for over 20 years now and has been a staple.
It is tied on a size 10 hook as Brown Drakes should be!
