The Elk Hair Caddis is one of the top producing flies there is….there…..we said it again. They work great when caddis are laying eggs…but really shine as an attractor/searching fly especially during the Summer months when the mayflies have slowed. Fish this fly dead-drift or better yet…skate it. Also works great with a small dropper off the back.
As of 2017 we are buying these from a new supplier and they are the best ties we have seen. These have razor foam in the body and they are virtually un-sinkable.
