Jerry’s Intruder. Jerry French is the creator of this now famous fly platform. This is a big fly, in a great coloration for big steelhead in cold waters.
Tied on a 51mm Aqua Flies Shank, this fly measures in at 4 1/2″ long. Ostrich and flash off the back are adorned with extended Jungle Cock Eyes which help it to swim as well as draw strikes to the back…where the hook is. More flash, predator flash and ostrich at the head behind a black brass eye. For as large a fly as this is, it’s really not that heavy and throws pretty easy. A #2 stinger hook off the back on Trailer Hook Wire and it falls about an inch shorter than the ostrich wings.
