A great ISO/Slate Drake pattern from our old friend Bear Andrews. Pretty much based on the Borcher style of flies with deer hair body. This one although features parachute style hackle and a short stubby white post. Basically no wings…at least no upright wings which makes it a great spinner pattern.
This summertime mayfly can be of super importance on certain watersheds and is well worth having a few in the box.
This tie works great as an adult but also doubles as a spinner at the same time. We use it for March Brown spinners as well.
