Holy surface bugs! Maddin’s Foam Scorpion has to be one of our favorite flies that Russ has tied! It will float all day long and because of the long legs it has amazing movement on the water. This fly works great anytime fish are eating on the surface but we have noticed it is especially good in clear water.
Maddin’s Foam Scorpion is tied here with high rise foam, rubber legs, bucktail and a lively legs brush. It is featured here in the Skunk color and is tied on an Ahrex TP605 #1 hook. The fly measures 3″ in length.
