The picture doesn’t do this fly justice! What a cool tie. The Bucktail at the head is reverse tied giving the impression of a lot of bulk, without weighing a ton. This fly has become a staple on every one of our peacock trips and may be the most popular pattern for anglers headed to South America. Do not fish peacocks without this fly!
This fly was designed with peacocks in mind but also works great as a pike/muskie fly, we have also done very well fishing this for large bass and it can be used as an offshore/heavy saltwater pattern as well.
The Peacock Reducer is tied on a very strong and sharp Tiemco 600SP size 3/0 hook.
