Pop’s Banger….appropriately named. From Bob Popovics comes one of the baddest poppers on the planet. If this thing doesn’t draw them to the surface, nothing will. Simply a must have for a variety of gamefish. The popping, commotion and action on these is amazing. Especially fished on a sink tip line!
Originally designed for striper and bluefish in the Northeast of course, but it works just about anywhere. Redfish, check. Top pick anywhere reds are found. Pike, Musky…check. Jacks….check. Even a mega popper for mega largemouth bass. And of course, anybody going after Peacock Bass in the Amazon MUST have this fly in their box. Don’t leave home without this fly.
Pop’s Bangers are tied on a saltwater capable 4/0 hook and measure just over 4″. The popper cylinder is nearly 3/4″ in diameter. Sold here in the chartreuse color but also available in silver.
