The Smoke Wagon from Kelly Galloup is one cool little streamer. Basically a single hook, small version of a Barely Legal, one of his most popular streamers.

If you (or the fish) are looking for a smaller streamer or you are looking for a fly that will work well on your 3wt or 4wt, the Smoke Wagon has you covered.

Tied on a size 4 streamer hook and layered grizzly olive marabou on top and white on the bottom. A grizzly saddle feather provides the lateral line and of course some buggy eyes up front. Slightly weighted…..just enough to get down but not enough to be a problem on a lighter rod. One of our favorites for when fish are slamming tiny baitfish in the shallows. Also one of our top choices for trailing behind a larger fly if you like tandem streamer rigs. 

Try it on panfish and crappie as well!
